What it’s like to be a Head of Sales Excellence at STX NextAs a Head of Sales Excellence, you will play a pivotal role in transforming how our sales organization operates. You’ll take ownership of the sales funnel, implement robust processes, and deliver actionable insights that empower our teams to focus on what matters most - the customer. Working closely with Sales, Finance, and senior leadership, you’ll help drive our commercial success while fostering a data-driven, high-performance culture.
This is a strategic, high-impact position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment and knows how to turn analytics into real results.
ResponsibilitiesTaking ownership of CRM systems and other key sales tools,
ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the business.
Leading pipeline and backlog reviews, including regular
pipeline calls, and ensuring high-quality, reliable data is available
for decision-making.
Delivering in-depth sales performance
analytics by segment, channel, and region, with a focus on identifying
actionable insights and providing data-driven recommendations —
including strategic guidance on budget allocation across sales
channels to maximize return on investment.
Supporting the
administration of sales team performance, including helping to design
and implement quota allocation across sales territories and incentive
programs. While the final system design remains with the leadership
team, we welcome prior experience and fresh ideas that could shape and
improve our approach.
Overseeing and improving sales
onboarding and offboarding processes to maintain high operational
standards.
Acting as the main liaison between Sales and
Finance teams, supporting budgeting, quarterly reviews, and trading
updates with accurate, timely information.
Driving the
development of a robust sales analytics infrastructure and reporting
capabilities.
Establishing and maintaining efficient sales
processes and workflows, ensuring adoption across the
organization.
Delivering insights and recommendations that
boost sales effectiveness and operational efficiency.
Acting as the first point of contact for the sales team when coordinating cross-functional collaboration - especially with Finance, and where relevant, Delivery and Project Management.
RequirementsProven experience in a similar
Sales Excellence or Sales Operations leadership role in a fast-paced,
complex sales environment.
Demonstrated ability to build,
scale, and optimize sales operations and analytics functions from the
ground up.
Strong technical skills, especially in designing
and implementing process workflows, CRM systems, and BI tools.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis
and executive-level presentations.
Exceptional analytical
thinking, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends,
and translate insights into actions.
High attention to
detail, process-oriented mindset, and a passion for driving
operational rigor.
Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills; comfortable collaborating with cross-functional
teams and senior leadership.
Strong change management
capabilities to implement operational standards and ensure adoption
across teams.
Structured thinking and execution skills —
thriving in demanding, dynamic environments.
Proactive,
results-oriented mindset with the ability to deliver impact quickly
and navigate dynamic, time-sensitive priorities with focus and
resilience.
High level of English proficiency (C1/C2) — excellent written and verbal communication in an international environment.
